Replacement blade for Skinmaster fleshing machine, choice of steel or stainless steel
Replacement or spare blade for the Skinmaster fleshing machine. This blade can also be fitted to the American brand Dakota fleshing machine, type V (five) and Pro.
The blade is available in the ‘steel’ and ‘stainless steel’ variants. The stainless steel variant is more maintenance-friendly than the steel variant because the steel variant will corrode if this blade is not cleaned and/or dried properly, which will adversely affect the cutting result. The stainless steel variant, on the other hand, is slightly more difficult to sharpen yourself with the sharpening steels.
Advice: If you sharpen the blade with sharpening steels, only apply slight pressure on the lip at most! Pressing too hard will damage the blade beyond repair.
Sharpening service! The machine manufacturer offers a sharpening service for all types of fleshing blades. The service consists of checking the blade for hairline cracks and unevenness in the lip. If the blade is technically sound, it will be sharpened for you. Please note, if serious bites have broken out of the lip, for example when the blade has been in contact with bone or steel buckshot, the blade can no longer be sharpened (safely) and must be replaced.
