Fleshing knives, choice of 3 different sizes. All knives are made of sturdy steel, one side is bevelled but not (too) sharp. The smallest knife has wooden handles, the larger ones have solid plastic handles. The knives have a slight curvature which makes them easy to handle ergonomically. You can choose between the sizes (approx.) 20, 31 and 41 cm, which is the width of the knife excluding the handles.
This taxidermy tool is generally used for removing flesh and fat from tropymount skins and flat skins or for scraping and defleshing fur.
Tip: Lay or stretch the skin over a sturdy wooden beam with the flesh side facing you. Scrape meat and fat residue from the skin by pulling the knife towards you. The knife does not have to be very sharp, it scrapes more than it cuts!
