PU bodies for waterfowl - ducks
PU bodies for waterfowl - ducks.
Anatomically very true-to-life shapes for waterfowl (ducks) made of sturdy PU foam. The forms are provided with a sternum recess to allow the neck to be folded perfectly in all positions. When using the entire upper arm bone (humerus) of the wing, you can cut some foam from the pectoral muscle and place the upper arm bone in that slot. As a result, the wing lies firmly against the body and the wings can be placed in the right place. The shape does not contain any upper leg muscle mass so that you can position the thigh bone (femur) properly.
The foam is so firm that leg, wing and neck wires that have been pierced can actually be secured so that your specimen does not wobble on its feet later on.
For the correct measurement, take measurement A from the base of the neck to the base of the tail and for measurement B, measure the circumference of the bird across the widest part of the chest, just behind the wings (shoulders). Please note, the specified sizes may vary slightly.
Tip: if the desired size is not listed, you can take a slightly larger body and reduce it by sanding with, for example, sanding mesh, or take a smaller body and enlarge it with hard PU foam, wrap it with cotton cloth or fill it with acrylic sealant.
