Place the scalpel blade between the "beakers" and place them so that the recesses in the jaws fall over your staple. By pressing the longer jaw, bend the blade slightly, releasing clasp on your staple and sticking the knife in the Kling-ex. As soon as you reduce pressure, the knife falls out of the Kling-ex.
