Sewing thread, flat waxed thread of polyester yarn on a spool, diameter thread 0.8 mm. Contains approx. 50 metres of thread, available in various natural colours.
As the thread has been treated with wax, you pull the thread more smoothly through the (tanned) skin and the thread will cut through the skin less quickly, preventing the stitches from tearing. The thread is lightweight, very sturdy and durable.
Wax threads are ideally suited to thicker skins such as those of mammals and some birds.
